This is a translation. If it differs from the Czech version, the Czech version applies.

1. Introductory provisions

These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern the rights and obligations between the operator of the Rosteo app, Rosteo s.r.o., company ID (IČO) 24627615, registered office at Mouchnice 142, 683 33 Mouchnice, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno, file number C 150751 (the “Operator”), and the user (the “User”) when using the Rosteo web and mobile application (the “App”).

Operator's contact email: [email protected].

By registering or signing in to the App, the User confirms that they have read these Terms and agree to them.

2. Description of the service

Rosteo is an app for families. It offers:

  • Daily tips and rough developmental phases based on children's age
  • A shared task plan and energy sharing between parents
  • Recording how the parent feels, short exercises and a parent journal
  • Uploading profile photos of the family and children
  • Community features: connecting with similar families, community events
  • Recording children's milestones and sensitive periods

3. Registration and user account

The App may be used by persons aged 18 and over. Sign-in to the App is by email and password, a Google account (Google OAuth 2.0) or Apple ID (Sign in with Apple). The User must use their own account and keep their login details secure.

Each family has one family profile in the App, which at most two parents can join. The parent who creates the family can invite the other parent by email.

The User agrees to provide truthful information and keep it up to date. The Operator reserves the right to suspend or cancel an account if these Terms are breached.

4. User rights and obligations

The User has the right to:

  • Use the App's basic features free of charge
  • Edit or delete their profile and family details at any time
  • Cancel their account and request erasure of personal data at any time
  • Manage the visibility of the family profile (public / private)

The User agrees to:

  • Use the App in accordance with these Terms and applicable law
  • Not misuse community features to harass, insult or endanger other users
  • Not enter false, misleading or offensive information
  • Not attempt unauthorized access to other users' accounts or system resources
  • Not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App

5. Community rules

The App lets users connect families and share community events. When using community features, the User must:

  • Be considerate and respect other families
  • Not share inappropriate, offensive or promotional content
  • Respect other families' privacy and not pass contact details shared through a connection on to third parties
  • Not create fake profiles or duplicate accounts

The Operator reserves the right to remove inappropriate content and to restrict access for users who repeatedly break the community rules.

6. Subscription and payments

The App's basic features are available free of charge. Extended features are available with the paid Rosteo Family subscription (“Family”). Current prices and billing periods are shown in the App and on the App Store / Google Play page before the purchase is confirmed.

Subscription terms:

  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of the chosen period unless the User cancels it at least 24 hours before the current period ends
  • The subscription can be cancelled at any time in the account settings of the store where it was bought: for the App Store at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or directly on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, for Google Play at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
  • After cancellation, access to Family features stays active until the end of the paid period
  • Refunds are handled directly by the platform operator under its own rules: for App Store purchases via reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google Play under Google Play's rules

Payments go through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), depending on the device the subscription was bought on. The RevenueCat service handles the technical processing and verification of active subscriptions.

Right of withdrawal

The Family subscription is the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Under Section 1829(1) of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, a consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion.

The subscription is bought and paid for through the App Store or Google Play, which accept and refund the payment. The User therefore exercises withdrawal and refunds with the store where they bought the subscription: for the App Store via reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google Play under Google Play's rules. We're happy to help Users with the process at [email protected].

Account and subscription

Deleting the account in the App does not automatically end an active subscription in the App Store or Google Play. The subscription must be cancelled separately in the store settings (see above), otherwise the store will keep charging even after the account in Rosteo is deleted.

7. Content and intellectual property

All content of the App (texts, graphics, icons, daily tips, algorithms and software) is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights of the Operator.

Without the Operator's prior written consent, the User may not copy, distribute, modify or otherwise use the App's content for commercial purposes.

The daily tips and developmental phase texts provided by the App are general recommendations, partly inspired by educational approaches. They do not replace professional educational or psychological advice.

8. Limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is”. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service and is not liable for:

  • Temporary unavailability caused by maintenance, updates or technical problems
  • Loss of data caused by circumstances beyond the Operator's control
  • The behavior of other users in the community
  • Any damage arising from the use of information or recommendations provided by the App

The App's content (daily tips, developmental phases and other information) is informative and inspirational in nature. It is not professional medical, psychological or educational advice. If you have concerns about your child's development, always turn to a qualified professional.

9. Personal data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the separate Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

10. Cancelling the account

The User may delete their account at any time in the App or request deletion at [email protected]. The process and its impact on the other parent are described in the Privacy Policy, Article 7.

11. Changes to the Terms

The Operator reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The User will be informed of significant changes through a notice in the App or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continuing to use the App after the changes take effect is considered agreement with the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will preferably be resolved amicably. If an amicable solution is not possible, the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction.

In consumer disputes, the User may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, ČOI) as the body for out-of-court dispute resolution.
